Father, son injured in road mishap

A man and his 8-year-old son who were travelling on a two-wheeler suffered serious injuries after their vehicle was hit by the car of the principal of a renowned school in Adyar on Friday.

Before hitting the father-son duo, the vehicle had hit the four-wheeler of a MLA in multiple collision that happened on Greenways Road – BS Kumaraswamy Road junction.

Police noted that the vehicle of Omana Thomas, principal of Sishya School, Adyar, initially collided with the MLA’s car. After damaging the rear side of the legislator’s car, the vehicle then hit the two-wheeler on which Murugan, a vegetable vendor from Kesvaperumal Road, and his son Dinesh were travelling. Both suffered injuries. Police said Omana Thomas took the injured to the nearby hospital and admitted them there. “We are yet to get the complaint from the injured as they are under treatment,” police noted.


The MLA said that he had no complaint and that he would take care of the damage of the car himself.
