Yet, the Madras High Court had also remarked that the comments made by Suriya were unnecessary and unwarranted.

Actor Suriya, had reacted to the verdict of Madras High Court, in his official twitter id. The tweet read " I'm deeply moved by the institutional magnanimity of the Indian Judiciary. I have always held our judiciary in the highest esteeem,  which is the only hope for upholding the constitutional rights of our people. I'm humbled and inspired by the fairness and justice demonstrated by the Hon'ble High Court of Madras."

Earlier in his statement on September 13, Suriya had said: “The court which renders justice through video-conferencing due to the fear of corona, orders students to write the examination fearlessly," while condemning the NEET exams and condoling the death of 3 NEET aspirants.
