Class 7 girl succumbs to dengue in Kancheepuram despite being treated

A 12-year-old girl in Kancheepuram has died of dengue despite getting treated. The Class 7 student, Shruthi, fell ill last week.

Upon taking a blood test at a private hospital in Kancheepuram, it was confirmed that Shruthi had contracted dengue.

She was then admitted to Kancheepuram Government Hospital. Her condition could not be revived despite serious efforts, and she passed away on Saturday. Following Shruthi’s death, the Health department sanitised the area.
