CHENNAI: Anna University on Wednesday, received a bomb threat via email during the early hours of Wednesday. 

The threat prompted an immediate response from authorities, who swiftly initiated an investigationand deployed sniffer dogs to the campus.

However, the investigation revealed that the bomb threat was a hoax. 

The Kotturpuram police are conducting further inquiries to identify the individual responsible for the false threat.
