Police said Sai Chandrasekar (35), an insurance company employee, his wife Pushkala, and their sons Kailash (9) and Sai Tharun Krishna (3) were returning to Pammal from Tirupati in a car.
Near Narayanpuram intersection on the highway, a container lorry hit the car, killing the man on the spot while the others were rushed to the Tiruvallur Government Hospital. But Puskala and Sai Tharun also died without responding to treatment while Kailash is being treated. Tiruvallur Taluk police have registered a case.
