Makers of Vijay’s Bigil AGS Entertainment and Karthi’s Dream Warrior Pictures announced that their films will release on the festival day. The latest we hear from sources is that both Bigil and Kaithi have been censored with a U/A certificate. Also, these films will not hit the screens on the same day. A tinseltown source told us, “The makers of both these films are waiting for the other to make the first move on announcing the release dates. If the makers of Kaithi announce their release date as October 27 (Deepavali day), Bigil will be preponed by a couple of days. If Bigil releases on Deepavali, Karthi’s Kaithi will be postponed.”
We contacted SR Prabhu the producer of Kaithi, who told us that an announcement on the release date will be made on Wednesday. Meanwhile, a few social media pages have already posted saying that overseas bookings for Bigil have already opened and the distributors have announced October 25 as the release date. However, the information isn’t confirmed yet as Bigil was censored only on Tuesday. Bigil stars Vijay, Nayanthara Kathir and Yogi Babu while Kaithi has Karthi and Naren in lead roles. In a few hours we will know the confirmed release dates of these much-anticipated films.
