YouTube, the second largest website, that is used by millions of people across the world crashed on Wednesday due to technical glitches.

The website bounced back to normal after a brief period of time.

The San Bruno based company's management took to Twitter and stated that they were working to fix the issue.

Clicking on any channel resulted in users being greeted by a picture of a monkey holding a hammer and the text "500 Internal Server error."

A message appeared on the site, which read: "Sorry, something went wrong. A team of highly trained monkeys has been dispatched to deal with this situation. If you see them, send them this information as text (screenshots frighten them)" followed by a long string of code.
