The film, following the story of Jean Grey “as she evolves into the iconic Dark Phoenix”-according to 20th Century Fox- is expected to be the final instalment in the series.

It is said to be inducing nostalgia very similar to Avengers: Endgame, remembering almost 20 years of X-men, according to critiques. Though it does not include a cameo by creator Stan Lee, who passed away in November last year, it is said to include a tribute to him.

Featuring many of the fans’ favourite characters like Mystique, Cyclops, Storm, Professor X and Magneto, the film is set to hit theatres on the 7th of June this year, after the previous instalment in 2016.
