Suriya donates Rs 1.5 cr to kollywood workers

We had earlier reported that Suriya would be donating Rs 5 crore from the revenue generated from Soorarai Pottru that will be premiering in Amazon Prime on October 30.

The latest is that the actor-producer has given Rs 1.5 crore to the technicians for the starters. Sivakumar, on behalf of Suriya, met FEFSI president RK Selvamani and Tamil Nadu Film Producers’ Council head Kalaipuli S Thanu and handed over the cheque. A sum of Rs 1 crore was donated to FEFSI, of which Rs 20 lakh will be given to the Directors’ Union, Rs 30 lakh to Tamil Film Producers’ Council and Rs 20 lakh to Nadigar Sangam. Suriya, Rajasekara Pandian, office bearers of the respective bodies, TFAPA (Tamil Film Active Producers Association) members Sureshkamatchi and Lalithkumar also participated in the event.
