Chennai
Many scenes have been asked to blur and removed from the film as well.
The latest is that the makers of the film don’t want to compromise on the content and have demanded an explantion from the Censor Board officials. They will also be screening the film to the revising committee on Monday. “I am hoping that the revising committee would deal this issue in a sensible manner,” says Manu Kumaran, the producer of Paris Paris.
“The Kannada version of the film had only one cut and in the Malayalam version, the audio of the one of the scenes was muted. But the entire team was surprised when CBFC demanded 25 cuts for the Tamil version alone and even asked us to make many changes to the content. I don’t know what’s the problem with the Censor Board committee for cerifying a film, which is already remake. We are really upset about it. We can come to a conclusion depending on the revising committee’s stand on this issue.” The teaser of Paris Paris also featured a controversial breast-grabbing scene of the lead actress. Manu Kumaran said, “First of all, PP is a scene-to-scene remake of Queen and we did not add any new scenes or controversial scenes that were not in the original.” Directed by Ramesh Arvind, the film has Elli Avram, Vinaya Prasad and Bhargavi Narayan in crucial roles.
