MUMBAI: Ahan Shetty is set to carry forward his father Suniel Shetty’s legacy by joining the cast of the highly anticipated film Border 2. Following his debut in Tadap, Ahan will be sharing the screen with established stars like Sunny Deol, Diljit Dosanjh, and Varun Dhawan in this sequel, directed by Anurag Singh.
While the original Border focused on the Battle of Longewala, Border 2 is expected to depict events from the Kargil War of 1999, highlighting the intense conflict as Indian forces sought to reclaim occupied territory from Pakistani troops.
The original film, released in 1997, boasted a stellar cast including Suniel Shetty, Jackie Shroff, Akshaye Khanna, and others, and became iconic for its portrayal of patriotism and heroism. With Border 2 set to hit theaters on January 23, 2026, it promises to deliver an action-packed and emotionally resonant experience, blending gripping storytelling with the legacy of its predecessor.
