Christopher Alphonse, 42, a native of Trichy in central Tamil Nadu is accused of circulating such images on the internet. 

Reports said, Alphonse, a technician by training was employed as an airconditioner mechanic in the southern town of Nagercoil. 

He is likely to be charged under the POCSO act, which deals with sexual offences against children or anyone below the age of 18. 

News reports say American federal investigator FBI had tipped off Indian authorities, which said it had detected online child sex activity in India, and it was found to be active in Tamil Nadu than elsewhere in the country.
