Tamil Nadu: Police arrest two agents in FQL finance fraud

According to the police, Ramesh of Paiyur village near Sivaganga and Satheesh of Manikampatti in Madurai had allegedly worked as agents for the finance company in Sivaganga.

MADURAI: The Sivaganga district crime branch police on Tuesday (September 1) arrested two persons in connection with the alleged FQL finance company fraud.

According to the police, Ramesh of Paiyur village near Sivaganga and Satheesh of Manikampatti in Madurai had allegedly worked as agents for the finance company in Sivaganga.

Following complaints submitted by residents of Kanjirangal, Kalayarkoil, Maravamangalam, Tiruppuvanam, and several other areas, Sivaganga District Superintendent of Police Abhishek Gupta directed the police to conduct a thorough investigation into the complaints.

The police found that the gang had followed the same modus operandi that it had allegedly adopted to cheat people in Melur in Madurai.

Through its mobile application, the company allegedly promised double returns on an initial investment of Rs 1 lakh within 45 days, in US dollars.

A police source said the interrogation of the two agents could shed more light on the fraud.
