Adnan, Arun and Kesavan from Karur taking late president and scientist Abdul Kalam as their inspiration wants to achieve big in the field of science and they've started off really well.

World's smallest and light weight satellite, just 3 centimetre in length and weighing only 64 grams has been shortlisted among 80 inventions from 25,000 students of 73 countries participating in a space related competition. This tiny wonder goes from the Karur trio who are pursuing engineering.

Cubes in Space programme along with NASA conducts competition among students every year though the Karur trio couldn't make it to the finals, they have got the recognition and certificates from NASA.

Their satellite will be launched in June 2021.

Explaining about their invention the boys said that their satellite is 100 times stronger than the metal reinforced graphene polymer and their satellite could cover 20 parameters with its 13 sensors and could sieve the cosmic rays of a rocket.

They told this cost them over Rs 1 lakh funded by many organisations. They are planning to expand their research on these lines.
