CHENNAI: Two IPS officers were transferred and posted in compulsory wait and another officer is transferred to Tirunelveli in the latest shuffle by the home department on Tuesday.

Disha Mittal, Joint Commissioner of Police of Chennai City East, was also transferred and posted to compulsory wait, and another woman officer Deepa Sathyan, DCP of Pallikaranai police district, was posted in compulsory wait.

Superintendent of Police Intellectual Property Rights Enforcement Cell Adarsh Pachera is posted as the deputy commissioner of police (DCP) of Tirunelveli east city police.

It is believed that Deepa Sathyan was transferred out after Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin's convoy was stuck for a while on East Coast Road (ECR) near Panaiyur due to chaos triggered on ECR because of the AR Rahman concert mess.

Likewise, the BJP protests at Valluvarkottam that stalled the traffic on Monday may be another key reason for the transfer of JC Disha Mittal.
