Two held for growing ganja plants in KK Nagar house

The occupant of the house, S Abhishek (21), a history sheeter and his accomplice, P Satish, cousin of the main accused, were arrested. Police recovered 30 grams of ganja from them.

CHENNAI: Two youths, including a 19-year-old, who grew ganja plant at a house in KK Nagar were arrested by the Chennai police on Monday.

KK Nagar police had received a tip off about ganja plant in a house in their jurisdiction and conducted a search.

On checking a house at 63rd street in 10th sector, KK Nagar, police found two plants.

The occupant of the house, S Abhishek (21), a history sheeter and his accomplice, P Satish, cousin of the main accused, were arrested. Police recovered 30 grams of ganja from them.

Investigations revealed that Abhishek was a history sheeter and has three cases against him, including a murder.

The two of them were produced before a magistrate and remanded in judicial custody.
