CHENNAI: The Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT-M) has extended the application deadline for its two-year, full-time MBA programme offered by the Department of Management Studies (DoMS) to February 8.

The MBA programme, open to fresh graduates and working professionals, is structured across seven quarters, beginning with strong conceptual foundations and progressing to core functional areas such as finance, marketing, operations, human resources, information systems and integrative management. The final phase allows students to specialise through electives and domain-focused courses.

Highlighting the programme’s outcomes, DoMS said it has recorded 100% placements, with the highest annual compensation touching Rs 35.5 lakh. “The programme has consistently upheld diversity across academic backgrounds, industry experience, regions and gender, producing leaders across sectors since its inception in 2001,” said Saji K Mathew, HoD.

Admissions coordinator Prathamesh Vivek Kittur piped in that the curriculum blended theory with practice through case discussions, internships and project work. “Our goal is to nurture industry-ready managers with analytical rigour, technological awareness and social responsibility, aligned with the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047,” he added.

Personal interviews will be held in Mumbai, New Delhi, Chennai, Hyderabad and Kolkata between March 6 and 29. Results will be announced in May, with joining and orientation scheduled for July 2026.
