Electricity Minister Senthil Balaji's Twitter account recovered

Upon recovery, the minister thanked the state cyber crime cops for helping recover his account.

CHENNAI: Electricity Minister V Senthil Balaji's Twitter account has been recovered after an unknown gang on Sunday hacked his account and the posts posted by an unknown gang have also been removed.

The account was hacked at roughly around 2 AM in the morning and the name of his Twitter handle was changed to "Variorius" and three messages were posted in the Twitter handle, among which two were related to cryptocurrencies.

According to the first message, posted at 2.09 am, DMK has developed its own crypto wallet and sought the support of DMK supporters. In the next tweet, posted at 2.16 am, it was stated that "to help people who are fighting covid-19 we would like to collect $1 million." In the third tweet, posted at 2.20 am, it was stated that they had created the crypto wallet to donate the money to Help India.

Upon recovery, the minister thanked the state cyber crime cops for helping recover his account.
