Chennai: Casual labourer held for making obscene video call to woman

On Sunday, he made a video call and was making obscene gestures, after which the woman informed her husband. The accused had even threatened the husband, police said.

CHENNAI: Tirumangalam police arrested a 43-year-old man for sexually harassing a woman repeatedly by making obscene video calls to her. The woman had dialled his number accidentally a few days ago, after which the accused, who saved her number, started making repeated phone calls to her.

On Sunday, he made a video call and was making obscene gestures, after which the woman informed her husband. The accused had even threatened the husband, police said.

Based on a complaint, the police arrested the accused, Thangakamu, a casual labourer. He was produced before a magistrate and remanded in judicial custody.
