62.5K take Metro on first two days

Nearly 62,500 passengers travelled on Chennai Metro in two days after the train services resumed on Monday after a gap of 42 days.

“The poor patronage is mainly due to non-functioning of some of the work places and Work from Home introduced by private offices, particularly in IT sector. We hope footfall to increase in the coming weeks,” a Metro official said.
