Going Viral: Queen Elizabeth II and her corgis on cover of popular glossy

Would you ever imagine a magazine with a 90-year-old on cover? But then if it is Queen Elizabeth II, then probably you wouldn’t be surprised.

The monarch appears on the latest cover of Vanity Fair with some very special guests — her beloved corgis and dorgis (a dachshund-corgi mix, the queen invented). Wearing a blue ensemble with her signature Gucci loafers and hot pink lipstick, the longest-ruling royal posed with beloved pets Willow, Holly, Vulcan, and Candy. They were clicked by famed photographer Annie Leibovitz. Featuring two exclusive photos to the glossy, and several portraits that were previously released on April 20, the eve of her birthday, the issue captures the Queen in an intimate setting at her home in Windsor Castle.

The summer issue also includes a series of essays about the Queen, including one by William Shawcross, the royal biographer. The Queen’s Vanity Fair cover hits shelves on June 7.
