COVID-19: Thalapathy Vijay donates Rs 1.30 crores for Coronavirus relief fund

Vijay has donated Rs 1.30 crores for the Coronavirus relief fund, and has also distributed a sum to his fan clubs across the states to carry out Covid-19 welfare activities for the people.

Actor Vijay has donated a sum of Rs 1.30 crores for the Coronavirus relief fund. The Bigil actor has joined the list of Kollywood stars like Rajinikanth, Ajith, Surya, Vijay Sethupathi and Sivakarthikeyan to donate for the Covid-19 relief fund.

According to reports, Vijay has distributed a large sum to his fan clubs across the states, to carry out Covid-19 welfare activities among the people.  

The sum of Rs 1.3 crores has been distributed to various relief funds across the country. About 25 lakhs to the Prime Minister relief fund, 50 lakhs to the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister relief fund, 25 lakhs to Film Employees Federation of South India (FEFSI), 5 lakhs to the Andhra CM relief fund, 10 lakhs to the Kerala CM relief fund, 5 lakhs to the Karnataka CM relief fund, 5 lakhs to the Telangana CM relief fund and 5 lakhs to the Pondicherry CM relief fund.

On the work front, the release of Vijay's upcoming film 'Master' directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj has been postponed due to the lockdown because of Coronavirus pandemic.
