Several celebrities have given a sneak-peek into their kitchens this quarantine. However, Sakshi feels it is her responsibility to keep people motivated to be fit during the pandemic. “I posted one of my workout videos when the lockdown began. Several followers had pinged me and had asked fitness tips and since then I have started putting up my workout videos on social media. My workouts are basically High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT). Of the 9.5 lakh followers I have, if at least 90 people can keep themselves fit after watching my workout, I would be happy,” the actress tells DT Next. She also adds that her physical fitness has reflected on her mental health in a very positive way. “I’m mentally stronger now and being into fitness in the last 10 years, I am becoming a better human with each passing day. My sister too has joined me and is on a weight loss spree,” she reveals.

Sakshi though doesn’t miss out on her favourite ginger tea post-workout. “Ginger tea is what keeps me going and it completes my workout sessions. It is a natural detox and strengthens the immune system as well. But that isn’t the only excuse for me to frequent the kitchen. I have learned from mom to bake. Apple cinnamon cake is something I love to bake as well as eat. I have also started adding cinnamon to whatever I cook because it is a natural fat burner. I also bake cinnamon rolls and banana bread,” she tells us. After being flooded with offers post her Bigg Boss stint, Sakshi says that she spent quality time with family in the last four months. “I was busy with work before lockdown. Now, I spend time with my parents and sister. We watch movies and play cards and rotate money within the family,” she quips.

On the work front, she says, “My phone calls keep me busy in noon. I have been listening to scripts over calls and will decide once I find anything interesting.”
