It’s been about two months since we put the Motorola One Vision under the scanner.

Our favourite feature of that device was its 6.3-inch display with a unique 21:9 aspect ratio. The all-new Motorola One Action has the same vibrant display -—  6.3-inches (1080 x 2520 pixels / 82.5% screen-to-body ratio / 432 PPI) that’s great for watching videos. It’s also kitted with an ultra-wide action video camera that video fiends should enjoy using

The One Action Clean is one of the best looking devices in the sub-Rs 15,000 price band with clean lines and a refined build. An Exynos 9609 processor is at the core of this device. It teams up with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of Internal memory. There’s also room for a Micro SD card (up to 512GB). The 3500 mAh battery should work for most users, but there’s no fast charging (this one is bundled with a 10W charger).

The device’s key USP is its video cam. You can shoot vertically and play the same videos horizontally. This also includes ultra-wide videos. The dedicated 16MP video cam is the primary lens on this triple cam that also include a 12MP lens and 5MP depth sensor for those portraits. Videos shot in ambient light are sharp and also blur-free. Lowlight images didn’t quite match images snapped in the daylight; Moto assures us that there’s a software optimisation on the cards. The Motorola One Action also benefits from being part of the Android One Platform that guarantees latest software and security updates. (Rs 13,999)

Our favourite feature is Google Photos integration; you can pick albums or photos of your choice from your library that then play out on a slide show when your Google Nest Hub is on standby mode. (Rs 9,999)

Google Nest Hub: Google’s new smart display is a great option for users who have chosen to play wait and watch on the smart speaker phenomenon. The device is elegantly designed with a design language that’s similar to the Google Home smart speaker line. We dig the fabric finish on the speaker; this is a display that will look good in any room in your house. The Nest Hub connects with all your smart home devices — like lights and cameras, with intuitive controls. It’s easy to manage multiple devices. Google connects with products from 3,500 brands like Philips and Xiaomi. But it’s the integration with Google’s wide breadth of Apps that makes this speaker a compelling proposition. Google Maps is a case in point. You don’t just get directions with a visual representation but these directions can be sent to your Android device. It’s the same with services like YouTube where you can either watch videos or tune into the latest music on the 7-inch display that also adapts to ambient light. You can catch up on recipe videos from leading websites and platforms while you’re in the kitchen. (Rs 9,999)
