An underwater smartphone for dolphins to play games
Researchers have developed an underwater computer touchscreen exclusively for dolphins to play games. With the smartphone built just for them and a little bit of training, dolphins can play games like Whack-a-Mole, according to the makers.
Chennai
As the eight-foot underwater touchpad allows dolphins to interact and make choices, it could be used to investigate dolphin intelligence and communication by providing them choice and control over a number of activities. The touchscreen features specialised dolphin-friendly “apps” and a symbolic keyboard to provide the dolphins with opportunities to interact with the system, Rockefeller University said in a news release.
To make the system safe for the dolphins, the touchscreen has been installed outside an underwater viewing window, so that no parts of the device are in the pool. The animals’ touch is detected optically.

Now, search private data with Google Personal tab
Aiming to help people find what they are looking for, Google has added a ‘Personal’ tab in search results to show content from private sources like Gmail account and Google Photos library. Similar to the images, news and maps tabs, the Personal tab narrows down search query and shows results from your Google accounts instead, according to reports.
The ‘Personal’ tab can be found behind the ‘More’ menu and will surface results like Gmail messages and calendar events from users signed-in accounts. For photo searches, users can either immediately open an image result or click through to do a deeper search in Google Photos. In March, Google introduced shortcuts on the Google Search app for Android, iOS, and Google.com on the mobile web that gives users the ability to explore deeper within topics they care about.
