This move is part of several technological innovations being brought to the 46th edition of the 10-day festival starting here from November 20.
Ira Joshi, Additional Director General, Press Information Bureau, has said the festival was bringing the latest innovations to increase the reach of the mega event including live streaming of the opening and closing ceremonies, celebrity interviews as well as master classes.
She said a dedicated YouTube channel will screen all prominent festival events. “We have a dedicated YouTube channel which will screen festival events including the opening and closing ceremonies. Celebrities who address media will also be posed questions based on queries we get on Twitter, from media as well as film critics,” Joshi said.
“In order to enhance the viewership of the much sought after Master-Classes at IFFI, they too will be streamed live,” she said.
The film to be screened at the festival will be available only through the local IFFI WiFi network from where delegates can download and play the film on a WiFi network within the festival campus, she said. Besides technological innovations, this year’s IFFI will also bring the best of food, including three food festivals which will run concurrent with IFFI. “Three food festivals will be organised alongside the IFFI venue.
