EPS urges IT wing to take on DMK vigorously

CHENNAI: AIADMK interim general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami gave a clarion call to the party’s IT wing and young cadre to take on the ruling party fiercely and act swiftly on social media to expose the wrongdoings of the ruling DMK.

Dubbing DMK president MK Stalin as “puppet chief minister,” EPS said he was feeling sorry for the CM. He was unable to handle the governance, party and his family. The CM has been facing problems from all sides.

The DMK party sneaked from the backdoor by giving false promises during the elections. Since it came to power, the law and order deteriorated and corruption was widespread in the governance, said EPS while speaking at the Twitter Space organised by the party IT wing as part of the celebration of the party’s 51st foundation day.

He appealed to the party IT wing and young cadre to take up the issues without fear and unmask the DMK government and its anti-people activities.

He, however, cautioned the young cadre to maintain dignity while posting their views. The ruling DMK government is foisting false cases and the party would stand by them and defend them. “The young functionaries have a bright future in the party as they can become MLAs, ministers and even the chief minister one day,” he said and asked the cadre to create YouTube channels to take forward the party’s ideology to the masses. They have to spend at least two hours on social media for the cause of the party, he added.

He exuded confidence that the AIADMK party would return to power whenever the elections are held.
