TIRUCHY: “We are closely watching the movements in the AIADMK and we expect the same verdict in the apex court as the high court gave an order based on the bye-law framed by the party founder MGR,” said AMMK general secretary TTV Dhinakaran in Thanjavur on Wednesday.

Speaking to reporters, he said that the bye-law of AIADMK was framed by the founder MGR and the court has given a verdict based on the regulation.

“So, the apex court also would give the same verdict. I speak this with my political experience,” Dhinakaran stressed. While welcoming the invitation of O Panneerselvam, he said, the intentions of OPS and R Vaithilingam are good for the party, but there is need for change in the mindset of unloyal persons. Only then, the party as a whole can fight against the DMK in the upcoming polls.

Charging that the DMK came to power by giving false promises, he said that the people have been cheated by the ruling party and it would reap what it have sown in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.

He reiterated that AMMK has no political difference of opinion with any party. “Similarly, I have no personal enmity with EPS, but I oppose his political approach and character,” the AMMK leader said.

Stating that people welfare is major agenda for AMMK, Dhinakaran said, the party is ready for alliance with like-minded parties. “We will decide about the alliance for Lok Sabha polls by the end of 2023,” he added.
