“Tamil Nadu has to be retrieved from AIADMK, whose only aim over the last 10 years is to loot. People are eagerly waiting for the DMK to form government,” he said. Sharpening his attack on the leadership issues in AIADMK, Stalin said, the party may split anytime. “The party is in shambles over choosing the party’s leader. Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami (EPS) wants to retain his chair, while O Panneerselvam (OPS) have been waiting for the opportune time to grab it. Like two glass pieces stuck together, they may break away anytime. All Ministers were not under their control and have been acting on their own will.”

Accusing both EPS and OPS of lacking knowledge on administering the party and governing the state as they were not chosen by people, Stalin said, “I have many reasons to say why the AIADMK should be driven away. Will the Chief Minister give me one good reason why this government should continue in power?”

Pointing out that the BJP at the Centre has snatched away all the rights of Tamil Nadu, Stalin said, the AIADMK remained mute and did not raise a word on issues, including Hindi imposition, farm bills, GST issues and new education policy.

On the poor show by Tamil Nadu in controlling COVID-19, Stalin said the infection has claimed 11,000 lives and infected more than seven lakh people. “But Prime Minister Narendra Modi is appreciating the efforts of the state in curbing the pandemic... Both the anti-people AIADMK in Tamil Nadu and BJP at the Centre should go,” he said.

Stalin said, if the leader is not trustworthy, then investors may not come forth to launch business in the state. “Thus Tamil Nadu has been pushed to 14th place in the ranking for ease of doing business released by the Centre,” he added.

More than 60,000 party men and people attended the virtual public meeting arranged at 345 places in Erode district.
