State enters unlock mode
Tamil Nadu will see a new normal from Tuesday after the State government offered a wide range of relaxations to the lockdown that has been in force since March 24.

A day after announcing the decision to relax the conditions, the authorities issued a detailed standard operating procedure (SOP) for places of worship, public parks and film shootingÂ
PLACES OF WORSHIP
- Those above 65 years, children under the age of 10 and people with comorbidities are restricted
- Â Devotees should compulsorily wear masks
- Â Devotees should not touch idolsÂ
- Temple administration should provide hand sanitisers for all devotees while enteringÂ
- Social distancing should be followed when devotees stand in queues
- Â Priests should refrain direct contact while giving holy ash to devotees
- Â Masks discarded by devotees should be disposed of carefullyÂ
- Temples with two entrances should mark one for entry and the other for exit. Remaining entrances should be closedÂ
FOR PUBLIC PARKS
- Public should be allowed only after thermal scanning
- Spitting inside and outside the parks is strictly prohibited
- Sales of snacks and fast food inside the park should not be allowed
- Public should follow social distancing during morning and evening walks
- Community volunteers from the volunteers can be engaged to monitor social distancing
FOR FILM SHOOTING
- Those residing in containment zones should not attend work till containment zone is denotified
- Specific markings may be made with sufficient distance to manage queue and ensure social distancing in the premises
- No-contact transactions should be preferred
- All equipment should be sanitised properly
- For air-conditioning, guidelines issued by the Centre on maintaining appropriate temperatures should be followed
