Thanjai sub-jail inmate infected
An inmate in Thanjavur sub-jail tested positive for COVID-19 and was shifted to the medical college hospital late on Sunday.

There are as many as 113 inmates in the sub-jail in Thanjavur located at the Tahsildar office venue. Recently, a 42-year-old man from Kalaignar Nagar was arrested by the Medical College Police for hoarding IMFL bottles. As per the COVID-19 protocol, the arrested person underwent swab and blood tests and was kept in isolation till the results were out. On Sunday evening, the results came with positive for the inmate. Soon he was shifted to the Thanjavur Medical College Hospital by an ambulance.
