Kathir Anand set to move HC over I-T action
Even as huge amounts of cash have been found with a functionary linked to DMK leader Duraimurugan, his son Kathir Anand is set to move the Madras High Court alleging that he is being stalled by the Income Tax department from undertaking his campaign at Vellore Parliamentary constituency, where he is contesting as the DMK candidate.

As Justice Anita Sumanth commenced her sitting on Monday, Richard Wilson, the counsel appearing for DMK, made a mention about the raids being held at DMK Treasurer Durai Muruguan’s house for a second time.
He said the action of the Income Tax officials during election was meant to stall the candidature of Duraimurugan’s son Kathir Anand from proceeding with his election campaign. This, he claimed was politically motivated in a bid to stall all political related work in the constituency and threaten the DMK.
However, Justice Anita Sumanth sought to known whether any plea has been filed in this regard and said that it would be taken up for hearing if a plea is filed.
