‘Give new date for govt job interview’
All the 100 candidates who were short-listed for post of livestock inspectors in the Animal Husbandry Department submitted petitions to Vellore Collector SA Raman demanding that the dates for the cancelled interviews be announced during the weekly grievance redressal day meeting on Monday.

Earlier, the government announced interviews for 67 livestock assistant posts would be held between February 23 and 27. But the interviews were suddenly cancelled. Hence, 400 candidates blocked the road near the stadium on Sunday. In continuation of the agitation, individual candidates submitted petitions to Raman requesting an immediate announcement of the date for the interviews.
