Sasikala Pushpa had a lustrous political career. She started her political career by becoming the mayor of Thoothukudi Corporation, in 2011, and after gaining the confidence of Jayalalithaa she was made the Rajya Sabha MP, in 2014. However, in 2016, Sasikala, in Rajya Sabha, said that Jayalalithaa had slapped her on the instigation of VK Sasikala.

Following that Sasikala Pushpa was expelled from the party and there were various complaints launched against Sasikala Pushpa. After she was expelled from the party she was functioning all alone from New Delhi.

However, on Thursday, Sasikala Pushpa was present in the party launch function of TTV Dinakaran. She was seen seated in the front row next to Charubala Thondaiman, former mayor of Tiruchirappallli. Cadres present in the meeting were initially shocked at seeing Sasikala Pushpa as they murmured that how a person who acted against Jayalalithaa and was expelled for anti-party activities can be present in the party started by TTV Dinakaran, who claims to have inspired from Jayalalithaa.

Three AIADMK MLAs join TTV party:

Similar to Sasikala Pushpa, three more MLAs from AIADMK had also joined hands with TTV Dinakaran. The MLAs were Aranthangi MLA, Rathinasabapathy, Kallakurichi MLA, Prabhu, and Virudhachalam MLA, Kalaiselvan. One of the suspended MLAs, Thanga Tamilselvan, said that with the arrival of three MLAs the total number of MLAs in their party had increased to 22.
