Tamil Nadu Chief Minister takes dig at DMK over implementation of projects
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister K Palaniswami took a dig at the DMK, claiming projects used to be launched without proper planning and abandoned during its reigme.

Inaugurating the first phase of Rs 195 crore flyover and laying the foundation stone for a water distribution scheme here, he said DMK government used to start works without any proper plan and leave it in the middle.Â
However, it was not the case with the AIADMK. Late chief minister, Jayalalithaa had directed that there should be properly planned projects which should be completed in time, he added.Â
The Chief Minister said with more road and flyover projects in the offing, the city will be made congestion-free in near future.Â
Besides, steps would be taken to make the district self- sufficient in all aspects, he said.Â
He said more development projects for the district would be announced during the MGR Centenary celebrations scheduled here in December.
Palaniswami said the work would soon on construction of Ukkadam-Athupalam flyover, for which Jayalalithaa had alloted Rs 121 crore.Â
Similarly, another nine-km long flyover project on the arterial Avanashi Road, will begin soon at a cost of Rs 900 crore, which would make the city congestion free, he said.Â
Municipal Administration minister, S P Velumani said that Chief Minister was working for the development of Kongu region, comprising eight western districts, by implementing various projects.
