    Tamil Nadu Assembly prorogued

    “In exercise of the powers conferred by subclause(a) of clause (2) of Article 174 of the Constitution of India, I, Ch Vidyasagar Rao, Governor of Tamil Nadu, hereby prorogue with effect from the date of this notification the session of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly which commenced on the 14th June, 2017”, said a release.

    The notification which was signed by Assembly Secretar(in-charge) K Boopathy was dated July 28. 

    Solatium: The Chief Minister, Edappadi K Palaniswami, offered a solatium for the injured and deceased in a road mishap of a party which was returning home after participating in the former President APJ Abdul Kalam’s second death anniversary. The Chief Minister, who expressed his heartfelt condolences, offered a solatium of Rs 1 lakh for the family of the deceased Anees Fathima and a compensation of Rs 25,000 to Rs 50,000 to the injured.
