Engineering student found dead with injuries in grazing field

It is said that Anushya (19), a second-year engineering student from Melarasoor near Kallakudi in Lalgudi had gone to graze the cattle on Sunday afternoon, but did not return till the late evening. Subsequently, her parents searched for her everywhere including the houses of their relatives, but in vain. 

Meanwhile on Monday morning, the passersby spotted a human body on a field near Melarasoor. Anushya’s parents and relatives rushed there and confirmed that body is of their daughter. There were injuries all over the body. Sensing foul play, Anushya’s father Chinnaiah passed on the information to Kallakudi police. who retrieved the body and sent it for post-mortem. Based on the complaint, the Kallakudi police registered a case and are investigating.
