Samuel guides Sea Hawks to victory

Batting first, Sea Hawks posted 235 for eight on the board, riding on half-centuries from A Godwin Rubesh (59) and G Babu (58). Defending less than five runs an over, Samuel dished out a five-wicket haul to bowl out Triplicane for 163 in 42.1 overs. He conceded only 39 runs during his fantastic spell.

In a Fifth Division ‘B’ match, K Vinayagam (5/37) got a fifer to help Tangedco beat Dorairaj Memorial Cricket Club by three wickets. Elsewhere, RS Senthil Kumar’s (5/59) effort with the ball went in vain as Sir Ashley Biggs Institute lost badly to Egmore Club.
