Op Ganga transportation, not evacuation: DMK MP

CHENNAI: DMK MP from South Chennai Thamizhachi Thangapandian on Tuesday described Operation Ganga undertaken by the Indian government in Ukraine to ‘evacuate’ Indians as only a transportation mission. Speaking in the Lok Sabha, Thamizhachi recalled the efforts made by the TN government to evacuate 5,000 students and said, “While we appreciate Operation Ganga, much of self-boasting propaganda has been done. We appreciate the efforts taken but there are a few lacunae in them.”
