After repeated pleas, Question Hour to commence on August 27

CHENNAI: Following repeated requests from DMK MLAs, Speaker JCD Prabhakar made an announcement that the maiden Question Hour of the 17th Assembly will commence on Thursday.

During Zero Hour on Monday, DMK MLAs once again raised the issue. In reply, the Speaker said that Question Hour would be taken up from Thursday.

In the Assembly, the first hour is allotted for Question Hour. During this period, members raise queries on issues concerning their constituencies.

Since the 17th Assembly was constituted, no Question Hour has been conducted due to reported delays in receiving replies from the respective departments.
