GoT cast sings new Taylor Swift song

The internet was listening. Now, thanks to Matthijs Vlot, an audio-visual remixer based in The Netherlands, GoT fans can treat themselves to a little Game of Thrones treat, despite the end of the seventh season of the show. 

Youtube user Matthijs Vlot has given the fans a 1.19-minute mashup of Taylor Swift’s new song, her first solo track in three years, by recreating it with GoT scenes to appear like the show’s characters are singing it. 

The mashup video uses mostly older season footage of fan-favourites, dead and alive, such as Arya Stark, Sansa Stark, Petyr ‘Littlefinger’ Baelish, King Joffrey, Daenerys Targaryen, Cersei Lannister, Jaime Lannister, Tyrion Lannister, Jon Snow, Margaery Tyrell and Olenna Tyrell. 

The video has been going viral and has garnered over 2 lakh views since being uploaded on September 8. Many viewers have called the mashup “better than the original.
