‘Sattamum Needhiyum’ Season 2 to premiere on October 23

CHENNAI: Tamil Zee5 has announced that the second season of its legal drama ‘Sattamum Needhiyum’ will premiere on October 23.

Directed by Balaji Selvaraj and produced by Sasikala Prabhakaran under the banner of 18 Creators, the new season features Saravanan in a returning role and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar in a pivotal part.

The upcoming season introduces a new case, higher stakes and complex moral questions, while continuing the series’ exploration of the justice system. Moving beyond courtroom verdicts, the narrative looks at how power, privilege and personal choices can influence the pursuit of truth.

The first season followed Saravanan’s character as he took up a case after a father set himself on fire outside a courthouse following the abduction of his daughter.

What initially appeared to be a straightforward investigation gradually unravelled into a larger web of power, influence and hidden truths, testing his resolve to deliver justice.

Season 2 takes the story in a new direction with a fresh case and a deeper look at the grey areas of justice. The narrative explores the difficult choices individuals make in their pursuit of justice and the personal cost that comes with confronting powerful forces.

While retaining the grounded storytelling of the first season, the new instalment promises a more intense and layered narrative. Varalaxmi Sarathkumar’s addition to the cast is expected to bring a new dynamic to the proceedings, with the actor playing a key role in the unfolding case. Saravanan reprises his role at the centre of the legal drama.

The series is directed by Balaji Selvaraj and produced by Sasikala Prabhakaran for 18 Creators. ‘Sattamum Needhiyum’ Season 2 will premiere on Tamil Zee5 on October 23.
