Patrol vehicles receive 76 complaints on day 1

A police official said they anticipate more complaints in the coming days as not many are aware of the locations where the patrol vehicles have been parked. The city police on Thursday released the details of patrol vehicles in each police station limit on its Twitter handle. The vehicles will be parked in two places every day from 11 am to 1 pm and 3 pm to 5 pm.

Meanwhile, the Pulianthope police resolved a complaint they received without making the complainant visit the police station.

The petitioner, Sugunammal (65), approached the patrol vehicle alleging that his son is not taking proper care of them and harassing her and husband to leave the house. The patrol sub-inspector, Martin Michael, later visited her house when her son was at home.

He warned Sugunammal’s son and shared the phone numbers of an inspector and patrol officer to contact them in case of any problem.

The city police also released details of the spots in 12 police districts where patrol vehicles would be stationed. Those who want to lodge a complaint can visit between 11 am and 1 pm or between 3 pm to 5 pm.
