“As all the coaches in Rajdhani Express are air-conditioned there are more chances for COVID-19 to spread and as 1,100 persons have booked in Rajdhani expresses they needed to be checked. However, it will be difficult for the State to test more than 1,100 patients and so the Centre should take steps to quarantine which will be followed by RT-PCR tests to be undertaken by the state government”, said Palaniswami, in the letter.

The Chief Minister had on Monday urged the Centre not to operate train and air services till May 31 but despite the demands the Centre had decided to operate trains on May 14 and 16 as tickets had been reserved. However, the Centre had assured that trains will not be operated after May 16.
