According to E Thangaraj, secretary, ICAF, foreign film festivals are generating a lot of interest in the last few years. “Cinema buffs in the city are very interested in attending these events as they are intrigued by the new styles and techniques adopted by these filmmakers. Storylines and characterisation are very popular with them,” he said.

Observing that Latin-American films are known for their unique cinematography and style, Thangaraj said this is something that local filmmakers can take note of and adopt in their own innovative ways in their films. Adopting these styles into local films will offer a variety of flavour and technique for local film-goers to appreciate and understand, he added.

Carlos Múscari, Head of Cultural Section, Embassy of the Argentine Republic in New Delhi will inaugurate the three-day film festival on March 9. Victoria Molteni, Consul, Embassy of the Argentine Republic in New Delhi will be the Guest of Honour. Film director Halitha Shameem and Sivan Kannan, president of ICAF, will be present at the event.
