Tainted AC transferred for third time in 2 days
Caught in a controversy after his telephonic conversation with the kin of an accused went viral, former Teynampet Assistant Commissioner was slapped with another transfer – third in two days – this time to Kanniyakumari.

CS Muthalagu was posted as the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Social Justice and Human Rights in Kanniyakumari district on Wednesday. In the course of the conversation, the officer was heard saying the Rs 5 lakh offered by the brother of a kidnap and assault accused was not even enough to cover his tea expense. Muthalagu was initially transferred to CCB on Monday, then to vacancy reserve on Tuesday, from where he was shifted again on Wednesday.
