CCB sub-inspector commits suicide
A sub-inspector of police, attached to the Central Crime Branch of city police, committed suicide by hanging at his residence on Thursday.

Police said Ramakrishnan (56), who was staying at Kolathur, committed suicide by hanging inside his bedroom, when he was alone at home. Police said Ramakrishnan had been suffering from several ailments including depression. Police suspect that he could have killed himself due to his illness.Â
However, there are also allegations that Ramakrishnan was not happy at the work place. Ramakrishnan had lost his son five years ago and he had been depressed since then. He also hardly talked to people, sources said. The Kolathur police have registered and further investigation is on.
