Nayanthara, Fahadh Faasil Join Hands With Alphonse Puthren For 'Paattu'

Lady Superstar Nayanthara will play the lead opposite Fahadh Faasil in 'Paattu'. The director revealed the same in his social media page, posting the picture of an audio cassette over which the film title and the names of the actors are written.

The announcement said, "Happy to announce that Lady Superstar Nayanthara is joining our feature film ‘Paattu’. The hero is Fahadh Faasil and the heroine is Nayanthara. Will announce further updates about cast and crew soon".

This story plot is expected to be on the lines of music as the title reveals ('Paattu' meaning 'song' in English) and will be produced by Zacharia Thomas and Alwin Antony of UGM Entertainments. Earlier, Alphonse had announced that he will also be composing music for the movie. He will also be editing the film, apart from writing and directing it.

Alphonse Puthren's last release 'Premam' was five years ago, with Nivin Pauly as the male lead. The film served as a launchpad for actors Sai Pallavi, Madonna Sebastian and Anupama Parameswaran.

While the director had announced about this new film in early September with Fahadh playing the lead, Nayanthara has recently joined the project.

On the work front, Nayanthara has four upcoming projects, Netrikann (produced by her beau, director Vignesh Shivn), Rajinikanth's 'Annaatthe' and Vijay Sethupathi starrer Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal. She has one more Mollywood film Nizhal whose post-production work is on the way.
