SJ Suryah, Manoj Bharathiraja in Venkat Prabhu’s Maanadu
In a casting coup of sorts Venkat Prabhu, the director of Maanadu on Tuesday announced that SJ Suryah, Manoj Bharathiraja and Y Gee Mahendran have been added to the film’s cast.

Apart from the trio, Daniel Anne Pope of Jarugandi fame has also been roped in for a pivotal role. Maanadu will be the first time Suryah will be sharing screen space with Simbu. Maanadu has Kalyani Priyadarshan playing the female lead. The film will have music by Yuvan Shankar Raja and is produced by Suresh Kamatchi. The makers also announced that Simbu’s character name in the film will be Abdul Khaliq. The shoot of the film is all set to go on floors next Wednesday.
