The producer of the film Esakki Durai told DT Next, “That is one of the reasons why the film is named Yaathum Oorey Yaavarum Kelir. It talks about how the world belongs to everyone and there is a specific portion in the film that talks about the act as well. However, that is not the film is all about. It is a thriller that has a lot of other elements.”

The producer said that Vijay Sethupathi plays a musician in the film. “The story is set in the backdrop of a hill station. We have shot a few portions in Kodaikanal and some in Ooty. There are five more days of shoot left and with that we would call it a wrap.” The film has Megha Akash playing the female lead and also has Mohan Raja, Magizh Thirumeni and Kanikha in important roles. “Their characters will be prominent and revealing them will be a spoiler. We are planning for an audio launch in January and the film will release soon after that,” he concluded.
